I started this blog about a year after I visited Perigee, so it is dated and will be short.

When we went there was a 20 course tasting menu, with wine pairings. It food was great and the wine spectacular. I with they still offered this and would visit again if they did.

About $500 for two with wine.

This is another review that I am writing long after I have been there. This was before I started this blog. Europia is my favority place to eat in Montreal. Whenever I visit Montreal I make it a priority to eat at this establishment.

While I forget what I had last time I was there, I do remember that the ceaser shot and Lobster cream Cappuccino are very interesting and different. We usually make the decision easy and grab the “tasting” menu. Pair it with their wine choices for a great experience.

Dinner for two with wine about $400.

Harbour Sixty Steakhouse

I have not been to Harbour Sixty in at least a few months, so this review is dated. Also, I forget the details so this is going to be brief. This is one of my favorite places, not really for the food, but the atmosphere. It is extremely cosy, especially in a booth.

I have been a few times, this being the most memorable choices. I have started with the pan seared fois gras. It is spectacular with the salad it comes with. For the main I have had the princess cut lobster, which is basically just a lobster ready to eat (shell broken). Our waiter many times was Lorne (spelling?). A great guy his wine recommendations are PERFECT.

Meals with wine about $500 for two.

I definitely recommend this restaurant. Two thumbs up from the Big guy.

Nivea For Men – After Shave

This is my first product review. I have used this after shave off and on for years now. I keep going back. It is simply the best, and the price is right. The reason I like it is I tend to have no razor burn, unlike when I use other products and am left with hurtful razor burn and bumps. The cost of $7 is perfect. I use the sensitive balm version, have not tried the others. I top the after shave off, when it dries, with a little oil of olay moisturizing cream.

Verses Restaurant

Verses was our first sit down restaurant experience in Kitchener. We were told it was one of Kitchener’s finest “fine dining” places. If so, Kitchener is lacking in fine dining restaurants. While not bad, Verses was not great either.

I had Foie Gras Benedict which I must say was very interesting. Probably my favorite part of the evening. I then had the Beef and Oxtail as my main. It was the low point of the evening. I forget the wine, so obviously it was not spectacular. I made the mistake of having a strong Martini before we started, so I missed out on dessert.

I don’t want to give the impression that I will not go back, I will… but if it was in Toronto and there were other choices, I would not.

Meal with wine for two ran about $300.

Canoe Restaurant and Bar

This is one of, if not my absolute favorite restaurant. This blog was created after the last time went. I have not been in awhile, so look for a more detailed review later. Or better yet, try for yourself.

We usually grab the tasting menu, paired with wine. Price around $500 for two. Stylish or suit-and-tie attire.

Crystal Palace Chinese Restaurant

Ordered from this place after the bad experience with Chopsticks Chinese Restaurant. Food arrived promptly and was decent. Forget what I ordered as I placed it before I started this blog.

Found this place through a search on my PS3 browser. Never got the food, so I cannot comment on it. I do NOT recommend the place.

Here are the reasons for making it on Mr. Big’s naughty list:
1. Lady taking order was rude; this can normally be forgiven, it is Chinese take-out.
2. Food did not arrive for 1 and half hours, called many times and told “10 mo minute. Fast this time.”
3. Even after cancelling order, an Asian fellow decided to stop by with food and BEG us to pay him.
4. They still charged my credit card, even though we cancelled order.

If we were not so hungry, this would of been a funny experience. The Asian fellow that came to our door was crying poor, saying this boss would take it from his pay. Meanwhile he was decked out in new Lacoste gear and driving a new 5-series BMW! Poor guy.

Two thumbs down from Mr. Big!
